Our environmental work kick-started with a climate neutrality workshop just before Christmas. We discussed the definition of climate neutrality, and what it means to the architecture, production and maintenance. We had a lively brainstorming session on what to call our version of climate neutrality, and were inspired by SP and the University of Lund on new climate friendly materials.
The workshop was important for us in order to create a common idea of the goal and how to get there. If we are to succeed in creating a carbon neutral building, we will all have to think in terms of carbon minimization in everything we do. We will also need to cooperate more than in traditional projects, and take into account the climate gas consequences of all the choices we make. This is a big challenge!
Our motto “The Loop generates more energy than it uses” works both for the building we are planning and for the process. Working with this project is challenging, and at the same time rewarding and energizing.
